How do I begin cleaning floors?

Ensure the pad is attached to the mop head and that the water tank is filled with distilled water. Plug the power cord into an electrical socket. The unit will go into Standby mode, and the setting lights will flash. To select a steam mode, press the mode button once for LIGHT, twice for NORMAL, and three times for HIGH.

Can I use my SteamSpot on all surfaces?

This unit is designed for use on most hard floor surfaces. We recommend testing a small, isolated area first and reviewing the use and care instructions provided by your floor manufacturer. Surfaces/materials where the steam mop should NOT be used: 1. Wax-polished furniture or floors. 2. Unsealed or unglazed ceramic floors, unsealed wooden floors, and wax floors. 3. For surfaces treated with wax and some unwaxed floors, steam and heat may affect the sheen. Test a small, isolated area first to check for any changes. Steam mops are ideal for laminate, bamboo, hardwood, marble, tile, and stone. See Owner’s Guide for usage instructions.

How should I store my SteamSpot?

Press the mode button until the setting lights start to blink, indicating you are in Standby mode, then lift the handle to place the unit in the upright position. • Unplug the power cord from the mains socket. • Wait 2–3 minutes for the unit to cool. • Once cooled and the steam has been released, empty the water tank and remove the pad. • Wrap the power cord around the two cord hooks and store the unit in a dry place. Note: Never leave the steam mop with a damp or wet pad on any floor for an extended period.

How do I care for the Dirt Grip Pads?

•Wash with liquid detergent, not powder, as powder can leave a residue or coating on the pads. •Do not use bleach or fabric softeners, as they may damage the pads or leave a coating that reduces cleaning performance and absorbency. •Line-dry or tumble dry on a low setting. Loose fibres may indicate wear in the microfibre fabric. Do not pull loose fibres - instead, trim them with scissors. For best performance, we recommend replacing the pads every 3–4 months.

How do I know when the Dirt Grip Pads needs to be replaced?

The lifespan of the pad depends on factors such as frequency of use, type of cleaning (heavy or light), and how often the pads are washed and dried. Under normal household conditions, when used for routine cleaning a few times per week, we recommend replacing the pads every 3–4 months.
