What temperature does the water heat up to?

Water heats up to approximately 160°C. The water tank capacity is 0.35L.

How do I remove the head from my Shark Steam Mop?

The mop head is removable from the main body, but the handle is not. To detach the Klik n' Flip Mop Head, press the release button and slide off. Always allow to cool before you fill the Steam Mop or remove/attach the head.

Can you clean hardwood floors, including laminate, with a steam mop?

The Steam Mop is designed for use on all sealed hard-floor surfaces, including laminate, hardwood, marble, tile and stone. See your instruction booklet for information on which steam setting to use for each floor type.

How do I know if my floor is sealed?

The best way is by checking the use and care instructions from your floor manufacturer. As a precaution, we recommend that you first test an isolated area of the floor surface to be cleaned. Do not use on unsealed wood or unglazed ceramic floors. On surfaces that have been treated with wax, and on some no-wax floors, the sheen may be removed by the heat and steam action.

Does this clean carpets?

No, this steam mop is not designed to use for carpet cleaning. However, a carpet glider can be bought as an accessory to refresh and deodorise carpeting or area rugs.

How do I clean the Shark Steam Mop Pads?

Machine-wash the Dirt Grip Pads separately with warm water using liquid detergent. Never use bleach, powdered detergent or fabric softeners as they may damage or leave a coating on the Dirt Grip Pads that will reduce their cleaning performance and absorbency. Steam mop pads should be line-dried or tumble-dried on a low setting.

What type of water can I use with the Shark Steam Mop?

You can use cold tap water and if you live in a hard-water area, we recommend using distilled water to prolong the life of your Steam Mop.

Can you put disinfectant in a steam mop?

Do not add cleaning solutions, scented perfumes, oils, or any other chemicals to the water used in this appliance, as this may damage the unit or make it unsafe for use.
